Law of Attraction
Many people awed when they read the book, The Secret or even watched the Movie The Secret (Extended Edition) were awed by the idea of Law of Attraction. There was a sudden frenzy, a strong new hope that dreams can come true. People can be happier and live the life they always dreamed of. Alas, not many success stories followed. In the wake of the popularity of the book and the movie, there were many quick buck operations that cashed upon the craze and vanished. In all, it all ended up in more disbelief, mistrust and despair. What happened? What went wrong? It was suppose to be so simple. Yet hardly anyone has written glorious stories about it. It has died out faster than a fad. Many of the new generation teen age pop singers have a longer span of popularity then...
Read MoreWhat do you need?
I don’t know what you need. However I do know, for sure, what you don’t need. You don’t need another teacher. You don’t need another messiah. You don’t need another guru. You don’t need another leader. You don’t need another spiritual master. You don’t need no one to make you happy. I declare, you are free. Free as the wind that blows. Free as the water that flows. Free as the birds that fly. Free as the babies that cry. YOU, my friend, are master of your destiny. YOU are the creator of your joy. You are the maker of your happiness. YOU and only you are responsible for what you are feeling right now and how you are feeling right now. So take control. Not of the world but of yourself. You are the raging bull that needs to be tamed. It is easier to...
Read MoreIncredibly Simple
I am not a great Yogi. Well, honestly I am not great neither Yogi. I am too lazy to be a Yogi; being very honest about it and not ashamed either. Not all can be great and not all can be Yogi’s. So what would I call myself? A good question. I have always wondered that myself, over many years. A few friends did give me some titles like ‘Funky Guru’ and ‘Under Cover Boss’. However the latest that has stuck with me is ‘Spiritual Geek’. It somehow describes me, at least in essence, if not so much in detail. I one thing I am, that is for sure, not a bore. I am restless. I like to observe things. On observation, I like to deduce inferences. From these inferences, I like to learn. Make my understanding of this mega world a little simple. However, more I try...
Read MoreGOD exists or not
This debate has been going on for centuries. Maybe even more. Let's say since human race invented language, I guess, they must have argued and debated about GOD. I have been very keen on understanding this arguments. One can say I am neither Atheist nor a Theist. However, today I wish to share an old story that was floating around on the Internet via emails. Apparently it is true story about Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Azad, ex-President of India. A brilliant scientist and a great visionary. I don't know if the it is true. However, it is indeed very fascinating. An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty. He asks one of his new student......... Prof: So you believe in God? Student: Absolutely,...
Read MoreAncient Wisdom
One of the oldest scriptures available to human race are, Vedas and Upanishads, ancient Hindu text, written in Sanskrit. They are more like collection of poems. That is to say it in a very simplistic way. However each of the couplets, contained there, is so packed with profound wisdom that a lifetime is not enough to grasp it's glorious vastness. Today I would like to share with you, as part of the ongoing lessons, one of my favourites. Neither being nor no-being was then. There was neither the earth, nor the interspace, Nor the heavens above, What covered all this? Where and by whom Was there the abyss of fathomless waters? Death was not then, nor immortality, Night was not yet separate from day, Alone, the one breathed without air, Self-sustained. Beyond...
